So I'm trying to make a rain team...

Please feel free to give me some advice

So far I have as follows:

Azumarill (no item yet)
Huge Power
252 hp/252 attack/4 speed
Aqua Jet
Belly Drum
Power Up Punch
Play Rough

Helioptile @ Leftovers
Dry Skin
252 sp attack/252 speed/4 hp
Thunder
Dark Pulse
Surf
Protect

Tentacruel @ Damp Rock
not ev trained yet
Rain Dance

The rest of my team I'm pretty undecided on, especially my Mega, I really have no clue what to use. I'm not hyper competitive, so I don't care too much about IVs and Natures (as long as they aren't bad ones) I'm just trying to make a team that works well together.

Any suggestions?

Running PuP on azumarrill with belly drum is redundant. Why not just use Superpower?

Good point, I'll be sure to change that.

For Azumarill, I run Sitrus, so after I lose half my health, I can regenerate 25%. & you will need a Politoed cause it has Drizzle. Helioptile, I run choice scarf. There are better items, but I was lacking one on my team. For Tentacruel, I would suggest Rapid Spin. You might want a hazard setter, & a mega. Not many megas that can abuse the rain.

Gyarados could use the rain to some effect. Boost whichever water move he chooses to take.

True, but what else can he abuse. I mean he'll have like waterfall... Lol. That's all I can think of that's decent for him.

Politoed with Drizzle is just about mandatory on rain teams

Dragonite with Hurricane and Thunder for absurd power

Jolteon and Gyarados are BFFs that both get powerful stabs in the rain

Hydration Vaporeon with Rest, Left overs, and Aqua Ring is an unbreakable wall

Anything with Swift Swim if you want to royally piss people off though keep in mind it is banned under Smogon rules if Politoed is on the team.

Kingdra. You need the king of the sea for a rain team.

i battled this very interesting rain team the other day that opened with damp rock crobat. maybe you could use that as it covers waters weakness to grass and is a fast taunter, can use hypnosis, has rain dance, u-turn to scout and brave bird.
goodra is a great pokemon with hydration and can boost itself with curse while the opponent is asleep or it could just be an all out attacker with it's diverse offensive movepool, or it can toxic infestation stall. definitely a great pokemon for this. plus it resists electric, grass, water, and fire, core types.
you could run rotom-wash who has a nasty stab hydro pump and perfect accuracy thunder in the rain, it also has access to wilo-wisp so it can cripple physical attackers and give more chances for goodra or crobat to come in. note it also has volt switch for that.
ferrothorn also functions really well with access to many support moves like stealth rock, spikes, thunder wave, leech seed and weakens it's crippling fire weakness in the rain.

The only reason I put Leftovers on my Helioptile is because it gives him a good amount of health back each turn with Dry Skin

I would use a Politoed, but I don't know how to get a hidden ability Poliwag.

And I'll definitely put a Sitrus Berry onto my Azumarill, that sounds really useful.

For my Mega, I'm kinda leaning towards Mega Blastoise, I really like to play Triple Battles, and I could position him on one of the far sides to be a bulky Water that can hit any opponent with Aura Sphere and Water/Dark/Dragon Pulse.

Mega Scizor might be good, cause the rain would weaken his x4 fire weakness.
