Wait...It isn't obligatory to use different Items? Does this mean I can use a Choice Scarf on Heracross AND Chandelure?
No you cannot use 2 scarfed pokemon in the same team.

it's a really lame clause that makes it impossible to play a bunch of different team types (stall, hyper offense, probably others)
of course that's in singles. I don't know enough about doubles to say but it might make more sense there --- THIS IS WHAT I HATE A BOUT EVREY WEBSITE!! THERES SO MUCH PEOPLE READING AND POSTING STUIPED STUFF

I like it because it prevents leftovers spam.

I've always followed Item Clause. I see no reason not to. --- I was once modded for illegal activity because I made a topic asking for advice on nicknaming my Pokemon. 3DS FC: 5043-2277-6391 - THIEF

When team building I like to try and have one def tank, and one sp def tank. Not being able to put lefties on both is incredibly annoying. --- Friend Code 0533-5449-3793 In game name: Panja Safari: Bibarel, Floatzel, Poliwhirl

I have mixed feelings about it. I think it's good to prevent leftover spam, and like species clause, it provides more variety. On the other hand, having multiple eviolites would be fun for using unevolved Pokemon. Other gimmick teams could be fun too, like 6 Rocky Helmets, even though the opponent would catch on quickly. --- Now playing: Pokemon X
