Infernape moveset?

So its of course the usual.

Jolly@252Atk 252spe 6def

Right now the moveset is:

Close Combat
Fire punch
Thunder punch
Power up punch.

Should I switch close combat for mach punch? I know its priority which is always good to have.

Because I get iron fist boost with stab. Why would I waste a turn when I can just kill and get a atk boost? Infernape is glass, he isn't gonna take many hits.

deal damage and boost at the same time
good for picking off weakened opponents while preparing for the next, likely more threatening switch-in

TC, if you switch anything, I would recommend switching power-up punch for mach punch

You have close combat as your main offense
fire and thunder attacks for coverage (with STAB on fire)
your last move should be the utility/boosting/priority move

If you take out close combat, you'll have trouble taking down key threats.

Nah I definitely want power up punch. What is faster than a jolly infernape with 252 spe? I'm guessing mega kazam is.

highly disagree
there are a LOT of priority moves running around now -- high speed alone isn't a guarantee you'll move first

And Infernape Really doesn't want to be on the receiving end of aqua jets, gale wing brave birds, or any other priority move really.

that works

Then do

Close Combat
Fire Punch
Thunder Punch
Power Up Punch

Close Combat for main damage dealing move
Fire and Thunder punches for coverage
and Power Up Punch for when you can pick up weakened foes
