Are Japanese and Korean players really that strong?

#1kclaujamesPosted 12/29/2013 6:55:47 AM
Seriously, the first 500 places in Singles are ALL dominated by Japanese and Korean players. Now only one player from the Netherlands and one player from Canada managed to enter the 500s. Are Japanese and Korean players REALLY that strong? (From my experience, they are really the best players. No blind attacking and uses the best strategies, not including the spamming of evasion moves)

Haha, good for you. I HOPE that some of them aren't actually from Japan (e.g. they are playing a Japanese version of the game). If they are ACTUALLY all from Japan, well, run when you see a Japanese speaking opponent in future, haha.

Strong? Yes.
Really? No.
They're overpowered when it comes to video games in general.

I wouldn't be surprised in that most of them get to that level by using tactics a lot of people consider "unfair".

its pretty much 50-50 against both japanese and the rest of the world for me.

its not like they can use any other pokemon than we do, or different tactics. i also haven't seen them spamming evasion like some claim.

There are likely more of them on Battle Spot than any other demographic...

Eldritch abominations from beyond the edge of the planes are easily intimidated.
However, they can be very intimidating themselves.
