I don't get why people complain about cycling in this game.

Who's complaining about cycling?

Everyone complains about how they hate cycling on route 7, or mocks people that brought this game to get a good fantasy cycling sim (and, while I have a few complaints about the quality and depth of the cycling simulation, I do enjoy the game)..

Someone even gave instructions on how to set their console up so they didn't have to be present while cycling around Central Lumiose. Why would you buy a cycling sim if you're not even going to cycle yourself?

Did you also know that Sacred Fire is a physical move?

Oh, you mean the sidequest of "pokemons"? I think if they put more effort into the cycling simulation and less effort into the side-games, this could really become a top-tier franchise.

Yeah but Nazgul stabbed Frodo with the Morgul blade and the Elvish medicine didn't cure it but temporarily treated it. This was one of the main reasons he decided to leave the Shire and go with the elves so he can rest his mind from the torment of the ring and die in peace.

Games based on Tour De France are never really a good sims, either - they take absolutely no effort to depict the doping involved in high-level competitive cycling.

Doping's a problem in sports in general. There's doping in baseball, the MLB 2K series doesn't depict it. There's doping in football, the Madden series doesn't depict it (Blitz: The League does have drugs, but no professional license). There's doping in basketball, the NBA 2K series doesn't depict it. There's doping in hockey, the EA NHL series doesn't depict it. There's doping in motorsports, neither the Activision NASCAR games nor the Codemasters F1 games depict it. There's doping in wrestling, the WWE video game series doesn't depict it. There's doping in boxing, yet the closest any boxing game comes to drugs is a character in Punch-Out (a Nintendo franchise, for the record). There's doping in the Olympics, yet Mario and Sonic wouldn't be caught dead near any depiction of doping in video games. Point is, sports video games typically focus on the actual competition aspect of the game, and don't take drugs into factor since drugs weren't designed to be part of the sport. Besides, I'm sure any depiction of serious doping in a video game would be hit hard by various ratings boards--probably M minimum by the ESRB, a probable automatic 18 out of the PEGI, and might not even get approval from the ACB...

(Yes, I could have thrown the UFC into my above rant, but everybody knows the UFC's fake, staged, not really a sport, etc., etc....)

I am a die hard Pokemon fan to the most, including the traditional hate of Yu-Gi-Oh.

I find claims of realism hard to accept if I can't take drugs while trying to avoid the scrutiny of the world cycling anti-doping federation. Seems more like a fantasy sim to me, but without the enjoyment of being able to cycle around in a variety in scenery, like caves, cities, seaside cliffs, small country towns, beaches, roads running alongside rivers, deserts or snowy passes.

Imagine if you went on the COD forum and said that you brought the game, but you don't like to shoot people. Everyone there would laugh at you and probably tell you that everyone has had your mother, too.

Here, though, you mention how you don't like riding a bicycle (I know, I don't understand it either) and instead of ridicule and mockery, everyone just agrees instead?

Yeah. Ridiculous board is ridiculous.
