I know it's a little too late but in my opinion fire has always been a good offensive type and I thought the type was pretty balanced. So why did they buff them defensively?

Fire is average offensively (the only good defense type it hits super effective on is Steel) and weak defensively.

Also, fire destroys forests and Fairies live in forests.

Fire resists 6 types:
Fire, Grass, Ice, Bug, Steel, and Fairy

Fire is weak to 3 types:
Water, Ground, and Rock
