Because of Weavile's 120 base Attack. How many Pokemon will honestly have more than that for you to take advantage of with Foul Play?

Oh... I thought that foul play just calculated the target's attack stat in general, not the attack stat compared to weavile's attack. The description on serebii and bulbapedia didn't clearly mention comparisons.

Foul Play straight uses the Target's Attack instead of your own. It's just like how Psyshock calculates using the Target's Defense instead of Special Defense.

That said, Weavile has 120 Base Attack. What are you planning on using Foul Play on that's even going to have more attack than Weavile? Not much. Knock Off or Night Slash are FAR superior to Foul Play on Weavile.

So would Knock Off be better than Night Slash? And what about Ice Shard, Icicle Crash, or Ice Punch?

If you are going to run both fake out and ice shard, probably adamant, if you are only using one prio move, then Jolly. It's all preference and running the risk of being outsped. Using adamant with swords dance does really show the power difference in my opinion.

Knock Off is definitely better than Night Slash this Gen.

I can't figure out whether or not Ice Shard is worth it. On the one hand, Priority wins games. On the other, you're not gonna be running Weavile without a Focus Sash, so it pretty much has a guaranteed attack anyway and can use the slot for something else. And running two Ice moves feels redundant.

Why the hell can Sneasel learn it while Weavile can't? I want to be able to swap Ice Shard in and out for testing, but once I delete it I won't be getting it back :/
