Do I have to keep breeding the same pokemon? can I switch to breeding a diffrent pokemon or do I have to keep chain breeding the same pokemon until it is a shiny?

That... What are you trying to ask? It's not a chain, you get it by luck. It can take one egg or thousands of eggs.

I like Apple Pie.
Companion_Cube_ is Arceus and Xerneas. Combined.

that answered it, I was wondering if all eggs had the same chance of shiny or if chain breeding affected it.

The shiny chance is per egg. has no effect how many pokemon you switch in and out as long as one of them is always foreign.

Theoretically, you could get a Shiny on your first egg, like i did the other week,

well wish me luck on my quest for a shiny darmanitan. I could get like 3 shiny legendaries for that.

If you have a good enough IV'd foreign Pokemon that is the same species as the one you're trying to breed, then you'll have better chances as it'll produce more eggs then.
I've gotten MM's at 12 eggs and another at 71. It really is all down to luck and how dedicated you are into doing it.

Good luck!
