Should I evolve my Pikachu?

If you want a Pikachu with a lightball equipped, get a pokemon with compound eyes. It bumps the chance of rare items appearing on pokemon to 20% when the pokemon with compound eyes is at the front of the team.

Yes. Pikachu should only exist for the brief moment it takes to apply a Thunderstone after Pichu evolves.

I wish there was a way for stage 1s to evolve straight into stage 3s like the Pokemon Breeder card in the TCG (see if anyone knows what I'm talking about without looking it up).

I know what you're talking about, but there is no such thing as a stage 3.

It goes Basic -> Stage 1 ->Stage 2. Nice to see another TCG player on here.

Unfortunately, that has nothing to do with this situation, since I don't believe stage 3 Pokemon exist in the TCG, and babies to stage 1 weren't an option for the Pokemon Breeder to work on. I get your example though, I guess. I always loved using the Ultra-Digivolve card myself. Too bad that card game had really weird rules in the transition from Japanese to English...

Not unless you have a spare Thunderstone for Helioptile or Eevee when you decide that Raichu is 100% useless.

Heliolisk is a sun stone evolution.

@topic I say keep it as is if you like Pikachu. Light Ball is pretty strong ingame.

Or you could just have a static pokemon with thief like electrode (or have pikachu in front then switch out) and have pretty much every encounter be a pikachu. Pikachu is only around 10-15% othernwise.
