Mono-Type Bug Team Help

#1bountyhunter628Posted 2/20/2014 8:25:46 PM
Don't ask why. I just want to make bugs terrifying.

Current team is as follows:

Forretress, Relaxed [Sturdy] w/Mental Herb
Rapid Spin
Volt Switch
Stealth Rock
Gyro Ball

Crustle, Adamant [Sturdy] w/White Herb
X-Scissor
Rock Slide
Shell Smash
Poison Jab

Volcarona, Modest [Flame Body] w/Lum Berry
Psychic
Quiver Dance
Heat Wave
Bug Buzz

Scolipede, Jolly [Speed Boost] w/Life Orb
Protect
Earthquake
Swords Dance
Poison Jab

Pinsir, Adamant [Mold Breaker] w/Pinsirite
Return
Close Combat
Quick Attack
Swords Dance

Galvantula, Timid [Compound Eyes] w/Focus Sash
Thunder
Energy Ball
Sticky Web
Volt Switch

They've been doing pretty good for me so far, but I feel like there is still room for improvement. Thoughts?

If you're going 6v6, I'd suggest a BP Scolipede.

With BP Scolipede support, you can go for Bulkarona and Bulky Mega Pinsir which are extremely dangerous (also allows you to run both Close Combat and Earthquake on Mega Pinsir instead of just one and SD)

That is the best suggestion yet. I'll try it out. What's a good nature and EV spread for a BP Scoli?

Here's what I use

Scolipede @ Black Sludge
Careful - Speed Boost
252 HP / 252 SpD / 4 Spe
Baton Pass
Protect
Swords Dance
Iron Defense

You could switch Black Sludge for Mental Herb to avoid Taunt, but I haven't had much problem with Taunters.

Also Bulkarona with a few Iron Defense boosts managed to outstall a Terrakion for me once.
