We should give credit to the guys that come up with the English Pokemon names

Bossgodora and Blacky >>> Muk (especially backwards) and Sawk

Most gen 1 names are great though

Bossgodora is aggron scrub

I know, and Blacky is Umbreon

I was just showing that the Japanese names can be better than some of the English ones

Saandaa. Faiyaa. Freezaa. Purin. Myuu-tsuu.
Though Koiking is pretty cool, at least you can pretend Magikarp has an evolution called Megakarp. And also; Kurobatto>Crobat.

The only argument I can give in defence of the Japanese names is that if Gardevoir was localised as SirKnight, I'm sure we wouldn't have half the R34 of her we have now.

Zangoose is the one good Pokemon that came after Gen 1, everything else about Gen 3, as well as gens 2, 4, 5 and 6 is awful. I do not like Gen 3, just Zangoose.

IDK. Sir is seen by some as a gender neutral term, and knight definitely is...

All you guys screaming talonflame need to recall garbage like sand and thunder. And Blacky is flat out horrible.

Both versions have their "seels" but overall English names definitely win out.
