Basically, I lead a Doubles match with Slowking and Toxicroak. Slowking has Own Tempo and Toxicroak has Dry Skin. On turn one, Toxicroak uses Flatter on Slowking which raises his SP Attack but doesn't confuse him. Meanwhile Slowking uses Surf which doesn't damage Toxicroak thanks to Dry Skin.
Now, I am sure this tactic has been used a million times before. And I am sure people will see it coming a mile away But hey, I like Slowking and Toxicroak, so why not try it out?
Safeguard to guard against the confusion induced by swagger? --- "I'm amazed TC is still posting. It's not your everyday run of the mill stupidity. This is advanced stupidity." -nickizgr8 3DS FC: 2234-8306-6237

Why use Safeguard when Slowking can have Own Tempo? Regenerator?
Own Tempo doesn't block status conditions.
It also helps your team. --- 3DS FC: 4656-7454-0042 FS: Pidgey, Tranquill, and Rufflet I don't give people serious answers unless I feel like it
