or you could just set up or use taunt

Yeah, but you won't always have a Taunter or Sweeper alive late in the match.

It doesn't matter if it is fun or not: stall is a legit way to play the game.

2. Honestly, do you consider that a fun way of battling?

Yes. Sublimely so. Hyper offense is so boring to me.

I'm not talking about stall in general. I'm talking about stalling while knowing there's no chance of winning.

They're not the ones waiting for my PP to run out. It's the other way around.

if they're using a stall team their main way of doing damage to you is via status or hazards or weak attacks. you shouldnt be too worried about your taunt user not lasting the battle.

Gliscor / Mew are great example of taunt stallbreakers with decent recovery options in poison heal / softboiled.

you should really hit up smogon or watch some youtube battlers if you really want to improve. Dealing with problems instead of complaining about them [no offense] is a great way to get better

If their opponent lacks the patience to wait for the PP to run out (as seems to be the case), then they still have a chance of winning.

Well, deal with it. Some stall players need those 100 turns, this kind of clause would ruin them. I hate facing extensive stall, but nothing to do about it.
