Get used to it, kiddo. The Battle Maison is an RNG trap.

The game has an advantage.

And no--I'm not saying the Maison is cheating. I'm saying that they only need one win, while you need 50.

But if all that separates a win from a loss past, say, battle 30 is a 95% move missing once, and you're using one twice a battle from 31-50, you WILL lose by 50 87.1% of the time--FAR more often than you win all 50. And that's ignoring crits. So the fact is that all luck can do for you is win you one battle, whereas for the AI, it can end the streak.

I am not freakin' responsible for what happens in the Maison. Everything that goes on inside is the work of my evil twin.

this is why you avoid using not 100% accurate moves in the hax maison if your going for a long streak.

Pretty much this. You can win in Vegas for hours on end, but the house only needs to get you to zero once (a victory condition you can't achieve).

Random sampling is also tough razor to swallow. The CPU occasionally draws a themed team (all Eeveelutions, Veterans always sport non-banned Legendaries, I've seen a particular full fairy team a few times, etc), but the random draw largely makes up your opponent. Occasionally, it draws a team that would never be considered in a 6 on 6 format for lack of type diversity, but that combo is just what it needs to steamroll you right back to zero.
