Site Suggestions

Hello everyone, this is a request coming from a part of the FAQ writing community that has been delivering free FAQs over the years to keep this website going strong. We don't often ask for something back, but recently with the large amount of message board updates, we thought it would be nice if things were made a little easier for us to keep contributing to GameFAQs.

The feature: Currently, contributor URLs have this format: www.gamefaqs.com/features/recognition/24582.html. This feature would change it into the contributor's (nick)name, so in my own case it would be changed into: www.gamefaqs.com/absolutesteve. There are several benefits and no drawbacks. The benefits for authors are:

- Instant recognition of author through the link
- Easy to remember for readers, who can easily remember/recall the link(s) of their favorite author(s) and "follow/keep track of" their work and progress
- (and thus..) improves contributor recognition in general
- Easier for authors to use their contributor page link with social media (which have strict character limits, so the shorter the url is, the better, and every character counts)
- Opens the door for several improvements to the contributor page that will be suggested over time

Remember, if it doesn't benefit you directly, you can always see this as returning the favor to contributors. Thank you very much for considering to sign.
