  3. Suggestion: Display the Poll of the Day on other pages of the site

From what I recall hearing, gameFAQs site traffic is actually way up these days. However, the typical number of votes in the Poll of the Day has decreased drastically due to fewer people using the GameFAQs home page. By showing the Poll of the Day on other site pages, the userbase would be more likely to vote in it. This would make the results more representative of current visitors to the site and increase involvement in events like the Character Battles.

The site's administrators would know best how to implement this so I will make no suggestion as to how or where on each page it would be displayed.

I agree with this

Maybe use the GameFAQs alert system on the top of the page to notify people to remember to vote if they can?

Also agree. Votals are awful these days because people don't go to the frontpage anymore. The answer isn't to try and lure them there, it's to bring the frontpage to tem!

Yes, please. The contest would be so much better for it.

I approve
If people don't like it (because it looks like an advertisement or something) maybe give them the option to disable it?

I would definitely be in favor of this.

Alleluia! Character Battle IX has risen!
It has risen indeed! Alleluia! Alleluia!

I agree with this. Even on the front page, it's not like the poll gets in the way of anything. It's off in its own corner and it takes less than ten seconds to look at it.

This makes sense, but I hope it doesn't obscure the rest of the page that someone is on. If it does, maybe it only goes away after someone makes a vote?
