Wait, so the bikes get the double mini boost now too?

And they can still inward drift?! Can they still wheelie?

That was one of the main reasons why I loved using karts in Wii was still getting the double mini-boost, and it was already hard enough to use the karts in Wii when the bikes seemed to have a bunch of advantages.

Now they seem even more advantageous.

No they cannot wheelie and apparently none of them have any speed bonus (though we don't know yet the stats of all vehicles), not to mention they also all have a huge negative Grip stat (-1.25).

Well that's good that at least they can't wheelie anymore. I wasn't really sure how much I enjoyed that mechanic anyway.

And what does the Grip stat effect?

We don't know yet precisely, it seems to be a mix of the previously-called Off-Road stat and something else.

Wheelies were horribly broken, to the point where they HAD to either remove them or nerf them drastically.

Wheelies give no speed bonus. The inward drift is much like how bikes turn in Wii but they then converge mid drift towards a bowser bike/flame runner drift so the drift has limited use when held down unless the turn naturally curves the hooked drift style.

I'm a little bummed about wheelies, just because they were fun to do. I'd have preferred they just heavily nerfed them, but oh well.
