2. Mario Kart: Double Dash 9
3. Super Mario Kart 9
4. Mario Kart: Super Circuit 8.5
5. Mario Kart DS 8
6. Mario Kart Wii 7.5
7. Mario Kart 7 7
While they've gotten progressively worse since Mario Kart Double Dash, it's a very solid franchise.

mk64 was boring, had awful tracks and terrible mechanics imo. it put me off the series to the point where I only played mksc and mkdd years after their respective releases.
