Well, IGN seems to agree about new content.

Aside from full gamepad integration and streamlining sailing, I really don't think we're going to get any of this. I remember people speculating how much extra content would be thrown in Ocarina of Time 3D. And we got nothing aside from boss rush and mirrored Master Quest.

I agree completely. I told everyone multiple times months before the game dropped that it wasn't happening, and of course I was right all along.

This is just wishful thinking, and perhaps incredibly naive.

I don't think changing things is wise in the eyes of a lot of fans. New stuff can't really be complained about if they don't detract or even touch the earlier game.

Underdog! Just look at the mess you've made! It's such a shame, a shame, we've gotta find out this way!

Hell, and it wouldn't be THAT hard to implement all of this. Do I see it happening? For the most part no, I've been burned by Nintendo expecting new good content far too many times.

But I remain hopeful for some reason.

How does pure community speculation and wishful thinking equal Nintendo burning you?

Because other much worse companies actually put effort into their remakes of old games and give great new content?

After reading Hyrule Historia, I would not be surprised if those two deleted islands made it into the game.

I've been waiting for Nintendo to reveal a handheld with the 3DS's graphics since 2003.

Uhhh, there' was plenty of evidence, Nintendo's half-ass approach toward nigh everything these days, that and nearly everyone on the board was expecting "new dungeon", new content, "new item". Got none of that.

Such as?

First of all, every one of their remakes before OoT 3D has added a good amount of new content.

Second, outside of the NSMB series, what games had Nintendo been so "half-assed" about?

that and nearly everyone on the board was expecting "new dungeon", new content, "new item". Got none of that.

People expecting something =/= evidence for it not happening.

Also, they had reason to believe this:

Link's Awakening DX = new dungeon
A Link to the Past for GBA = new dungeon

I like how you can't come up with any actual examples of Nintendo's laziness.

You just claim they are and everyone who thinks otherwise is biased.
