Mario once again embarks on a quest to collect 120 shiny things

...In order to save a random location from Bowser, who attacked because there was nothing good on TV and was bored. Mario will have to scour several levels for the shiny things, some taking 5 seconds to get by jumping on a box, and some taking 5 hours from jumping in a random mansion in the sky. He will have to fight Bowser 3 times, who will use the same strategy each time despite it obviously not working each time.

His reward for getting all the shiny things?

Getting to do it all again as Luigi.

Let me try:

The colorblind citizens of an island mistake Mario for his blue doppleganger and forces him to collect 120 shiny things with a pump to save the island. The blue Mario turns out to be Bowser's son who kidnaps Peach and flys to a volcano. After disturbing their family vacation, Mario beats Bowser and saves Peach.

His reward for collecting all the shiny things?

A goddamn postcard.

Mario must save Peach while collecting 120 shiny things because Bowser ate Peach's cake, then took her into a painting. You fight him 3 times, each time he only gains one attack.

What's your reward for getting 120 shiny things?

A F****** useless triple jump, some extra lives, and a visit from Yoshi.

Super Mario 64.

Bowser Jr. kidnaps Princess Peach,(because "daddy" told him too.) and Mario chases him through eight bland, unoriginal worlds to get Princess Peach back, because she likes watching Mario suffer.

Super Mario Bros...I never knew Bowser Jr. was in that game, but now that I do the plot holes just vanish. After all, how can the blocks be citizens of the Mushroom Kingdom turned stone unless Bowser Jr. messed with the instruction booklet just like the Koopa Kids did in SMB3.

Let me try one...

Blood consumes everything in this E-rated adventure as Mario goes through 99 levels in his first 3D game.

Your reward is that hours of tedious gameplay doesn't save...at all.

Player character embarks on adventure to collect 8 songs to kill freaky evil guy because a bug told him to.
