and that is how this game will now not be better than ff xv..

FF XV's main character is named "Noctis" and he will be remember for years to come unlike create a character X..

Enjoy having no personality and no visual identity.

Yes, remembered as a gigantic fa-Oh, didn't see your name. No point, you already know you're being ridiculous.

That said, I hate the silent protagonist idea being used here. It does not mesh well AT ALL.

Remembering a character doesn't automatically make a game better.
I mean Square Enix has shoved Lighting in everything for the last 4 years and I'm sure people are going to remember the character for a long time, but it doesn't stop ff13 from being a boring corridor simulator with false sense of character customisation that is mostly regarded as one of the worst Final Fantasy games.

That being said, at the end of the Demo in the cut scene when they look over Neo Los Angeles I'm pretty sure the MC was monologuing or something. It was hard to tell over the players taking all the time but the voice sounded similar to the battle cries from the game play.
So maybe we don't have a complete mute after all

While randomly generated squares are hardly interesting, you really can't compare it to a literal hallway simulator, even in jest.

Resorting to sarcasm implies you don't really have a actual comeback to defend you point, sorry but I find it hard to enjoy a game where you can beat 90% of the enemies using a Ravager Commander Medic party combo and then you never have to press any button other than X.
Come back when you have an actual argument to defend FF13 please.

But I still want to know if anyone else watched the second Treehouse demo and if that is actually the MC talking or not during the ending cut scene.
Because the voice sounded pretty high pitched and when they were customising the character then didn't bother changing the voice options so they left it as the generic voice.
The reason I want to know if it's true or not is because then that would mean the character isn't a blank slate and would be more similar to something like Fire Emblem Awakening which I wouldn't actually mind.

Those voices at the end of the demo are Elma and that Chief Executive guy, I'm pretty sure.

The point was that it's not very good game design when it's even possible to play like that, I went all out with Synergists and Saboteurs and it was still a boring experience
Now please start contributing to the discussion about Xenoblade X instead of bringing up why Final Fantasy 15 or 13 are better

Ohh thanks,
I couldn't tell if there was 2 female voices or not because my headphones are awful and they players kept on taking too loudly. It was easier to hear the difference after the video stopped and the sound kept playing when they switched cameras, but then you couldn't see who was speaking in the game.

the mute protagonist isn't an issue for me unless i'm the center of attention and important to the story(case and point, white knight chronicles where i was basically a sidekick(never played 2))

im hoping there's online and that's why they went that route, and honestly i wouldn't mind if it sucked as long as its an option to go there with my avatar and mech.

having a unique main to be locked into isn't always a good thing, they could be too stupid(enchanted arms), dorky(infinite undiscovery), and then there's always that emo moment that appears in most rpgs(all of the above) and for a game like this where the story is gonna get REALLY confusing at points(at least IMO) maybe its better not to fall into any of those tropes.

You say that like a silent protagonist can never be bad. There's a possibility for either to be good or bad.
