ChidosenganPosted 2/18/2013 2:34:08 PM | Serious question here. I know its a spin off of sorts, but it still bears the Shin Megami Tensei name. And from my research (i.e quick glace at a wikipedia page), there are more spin offs than there are main entries.
I played Persona 4 for a bit. I gotta say, it's not a game for me, but I can see the why people consider it a great game: characters are likeable, has a nice script, and battle system, while not the best, is fairly enjoyable.
So what are the reason people want it to be excluded with a burning passion here? And don't say because it's popular, that gotta be the worst excuse to exclude anything ever. |

Usually the hate is only directed towards annoying P4 fanboys who bash the main series for being too dark,not having stupid waifus,swag or high school kids talking about their low self esteem aka S.links.The reason people here talk that way about persona is because people who have no idea about SMT come and suggest that Persona characters should be in this even if they obiously don't fit and would only make a strange crossover even more complicated.And here's why they wouldn't fit:
1.They can't summon demons like the rest of the SMT cast(before you say :"But neither can the FE characters",remember that Persona characters can use their Personas and have no reasons to use demons,and simply for that Atlus would have to alter the Demon summoning and the overall gameplay a lot).
2.It's not SMT and unlike Raidou they have almost no connections to the main series.
Conclusion:They don't fit and they would be nothing more than pure fanservice.

Irrelevant.The persona characters Yu,Minato,Margaret,Aigis can only summon one Persona at the time(and if they don't have the wild card they can only summon one persona and that's it). Persona is a spin off of SMT, so it would get pretty complicated seeing as they have different mechanics and whatnot.
Most people around here, as stated, just don't like the annoying fanboys. No one likes annoying famboys, the SMT fanbase is no different.

People need to admit that when they say Persona they say P4 characters specifically, those people cant fool me.
Aniway as i said in other threads zero spinoffs, this game is for the main series, neither Person and DeSu have place here so its only natural to not letting them being here.
This thread is kind of proof to my point.
Im really tired of P4 so i dont want to see them animore, not EVRYTHING needs to have Persona in it.
