Updated Sky Diamond exploit

I'm sure by now everyone knows the sky diamond trick in woodbury. Free Ranger's bottom half takes it to the next level once you have the soul gem ability "Charged Winds"

Chraged Winds grabs the sheep and does damage to them as well as the training dummy. I added a second Skylander fresh out of the packet and racked up over 7000 in gems just by spamming the Winds and using the 2nd skylander to collect the gems dropped by the sheep. Free Ranger himself ALSO collected over 7000gems just from the dummy.

Enjoy even easier upgrading!

I have a question. I know there is an achievement in Giants for collecting 65,000 with one Skylander. Can you get that via this method, and then have the achievement pop when you load up that Skylander in Giants?

Yes, you can. But if your Skylander has more than 65000 Gold, you first have to pick up a piece of Gold in Giants (which in turn reverts the Gold count on your Figure back to exactly 65000), after which the chievo pops.
Did it last night with Legendary Stealth Elf...

Correction: Free Ranger's bottom half must be fully upgraded with the Lightning Linguist path and have Charged Winds for this to work properly.

Using Pop Thorn nets over 5K without having to commit to an upgrade path. Just use the wind attack continuously on a dummy and have player 2 stand next to the dummy.

If you really want to upgrade a Skylander in one go, upgrade Popthorn with the bottom path and position him to be able to hit two dummies at once. Put your second Skylander next to the second dummy and go to town with Popthorn.

For laughs I wanted to see how much I could get in one go. I topped out at 24k using Double Trouble and Popthorn.

There's no real commitment to the upgrade path since coins and xp are stored in the top half of the toy. Max out your money then just reset the bottom half if the upgrade path doesn't suit your play style. You still have all of the money and can purchase the upgrade path you prefer afterwards.

Umm... Pop Thorn isn't a swap character. Besides, I was only saying that Pop Thorn can spam plenty of Diamonds with no upgrades.

Apologies ross, I misunderstood your statement. I thought you meant the commitment to Ranger's bottom half upgrade path from my original statement. I realize Pop Thorn isn't a swap force character.

Ah, I see how you read that now. :) Bad phrasing on my part. If you aim Pop Thorn so he hits two dummies and bring in player 2, both players get over 10K.
