Stalker needs to be removed from all future CoD games.

How many times have you seen "I can't play without Stalker" on this board?

Stalker destroys weapon balance by making every AR outclass every SMG in most situations. LMGs should be able to have it though, albeit still moving pretty slowly while ADS. Without Stalker, people would have to learn to aim or start giving up their long range killing power for mobility.

tl;dr: Stalker is too big of a crutch to be in the game.

You know how it balances out AR's still? They don't have those 3 points to spend elsewhere.

You said it yourself, perks are the most useful thing right? More useful than equipment? Then why waste 3 points on a perk when you can get other perks to help you out or use weapons like the MTAR or Ripper that doesn't even need it and still does well at a range? Oh, wait, take the MTAR out, it takes points to unlock which we shouldn't do since it's not a perk.

You mean it should simply be incorporated into gameplay...right?

I feel OTG should be incorporated. Look at every other shooter (idk if Halo does, but every other active shooter does this). You cannot sprint to reload cancel and most also do not allow "Y/Y" cancel. If you reload, you reload and if someone comes up to you then you're just going to take the death or hope for a good weapon swap kill.

I felt this way in MW3 and hated the specialist bonus at first because of it.

Let's just take everything that takes skill to do out of the game, shall we? OTG being incorporated = I'm done with CoD.

Why waste points on a perk when you use points on another perk? What? Stalker is easily better than most perks. Having Stalker means you don't need Quickdraw and since you have the best damage of every class, you are always ready for a gun battle while still being mobile and having at on of range. The only reason to use the MTAR is when you need that faster rate of fire and movement speed or if you really need the space for other perks (you don't).

Here's a quick class:

Honey Badger - Grip/RDS
Stalker
Dead Silence (mandatory unless you just camp, even then one step is all it takes to **** you over, plus Amplify is like a VSAT for you ears)
Focus (not mandatory but removes randomness, very important for someone who knows a thing or two about competitive play)
Scavenger/Fully Loaded (depends on the mode and my streaks, but pretty important if you are a good player who doesn't slide on to B mindlessly "playing the objective")

Boom, I have everything I need to dominated at any range except extremely long range. The HB's RoF is pretty fast and also has less recoil, so I can usually beat any SMG user. I even get to have a free silencer.

Now I can still add (in my order of preference): Hardline, Marathon, Amplify, Ready Up + Resiliience/Takedown/C4.... and that's really it. I could add SoH but if you can sprint cancel then you don't need it ever. Steady Aim is useless because only bad kids hip fire to get kills past point blank distances. ICU is incredibly situational and usually doesn't change the outcome of a gunfight. Ping is a good choice especially on small maps or against incredibly campy teams, it's just not something I usually use since it doesn't usually reveal anyone I don't already know about. Sitrep is useful but since Tacs/Lethals don't regen and SatComs are rare, I don't really see the point especially when you can dodge IEDs now.

I can use Hardline to earn my streaks much faster (for Hind, Gryphon, Helo or Deadeye usually), Marathon to quickly get to power positions/enemy spawns in order to maintain momentum when my team can't do it for me. Amplify for obvious reasons but it makes your awareness worse since you get used to relying on sound, at least in my case but this is still a great perk. Ready Up is always a good choice and is almost worth 2 points.

If Quickdraw was 2 points I would use that every time though. Everything else is an accessory and will only work for you in specific situations.

I know I'm not every player but almost all of the best players I've seen both on this board and other players use these types of setups.

Anyways, what I'm trying to say is that Stalker really ruins diversity. Why do you think MLG took it out for competitive? I know you guys don't play competitively at all but you can't deny that these players are much better than you are.

I'd be totatlly ok if stalker just gave the same speed reduction that SMG's and Pistols get without using it to Ar's and LMG's. We don't need full walk speed, but becoming essentially stationary is just too dangerous.

Stalker is kind of important in this game though for LMG's as these maps make them more vulnerable then ever to getting flanked which is basically death for any LMG that isn't the ChainSAW.
