Is this a pvp or master stat or is it just useless?

Yeah its pretty much mandatory on at least your shoulders chest and legs. Those will be the biggest contributors.

All resist = Armor, they do the exact same thing.

To gain the toughest pokemo... I mean hero you want to balance the too as closely as possible. Although on an INT, or STR based hero these numbers will varie because of the stat bonuses

Each point of str = 1 point of armor
Each 10 points of int = 1 point of AR (all resist) (so 1 point of int is .1 all resist)

500 all resist = 5000 armor, they give the same amount of protection % wise, when you are in the character screen, hit Square or X (I have the ps3 version) to see your full stats, when you scroll down to armor or a resist you will see the % of protection it is giving you.

Do not think one of more valuable then the other, you will get the most out of the stats by getting them even. But in the end just wear the best items you can find.

Also dex characters will have a harder time getting these stats, but they have dodge as a replacement. Which is good, but you can't evade elite or blue packs affixes like plague, arcane beams, fire patches.

If you have any more questions feel free to ask, I'm a long time PC player just switched to the ps3.

to go off of this quote..

if you are playign a monk and are looking for a passive go ahead with One Wit Everything... this will alow you to concentrate on any type of resist if you so choose.. and then worry about Armor ( thus negating the worry of All Resist.)

now this was important on PC due to the price of ALL resist gear, btu it might not be that important due to no AH on consoles.

if you already have the passives you enjoy then go ahead and play. im not saying you HAVE to HAVE it.

TY for reading.

To be more precise, 10 armor doesnt equal to 1 AR, but thats the ratio everyone should aim for.

10 = 1 all resist are the same.

But they lose value the higher you go.

if you have 500 all resist and 5000 armor they will give you the exact same percetion of protectoin when you put your mouse over them on the pc.

same with 400=4000
or 300=3000.

The point of that link was just to say
"You should instead think "my armor to resist ratio must always be 10:1"... and not that " an item with +200 armor essentially gives me 20 all resist.""

they give you seperate protection numbers, and the equation is

reduction from resist is "RESISTANCE/ [(5*monster level)+ RESISTANCE]
reduction from armor is "ARMOR/ [(50*monster level) + ARMOR]
effect health is therefore "HEALTH / [(1- "reduction from resist")(1- "reduction from armor")]

So

30k health + 0 all resist + 0 armor = 30k effective health
30k health + 0 all resist + 3000 armor = 60k effective health
30k health + 0 all resist + 6000 armor = 90k effective health
30k health + 0 all resist + 9000 armor = 120k effective health (+10 health/armor)

30k health + 300 all resist + 0 armor = 60k effective health
30k health + 300 all resist + 3000 armor = 120k effective health
30k health + 300 all resist + 6000 armor = 180k effective health
30k health + 300 all resist + 9000 armor = 240k effective health (+20 health/armor)

30k health + 600 all resist +0 armor = 90k effective health
30k health + 600 all resist + 3000 armor = 180k effective health
30k health + 600 all resist + 6000 armor = 270k effective health
30k health + 600 all resist + 9000 armor = 360k effective health (+30 health/armor)

30k health + 900 all resist + 0 armor = 120k effective health
30k health + 900 all resist + 3000 armor = 240k effective health
30k health + 900 all resist + 6000 armor = 360k effective health
30k health + 900 all resist + 9000 armor = 480k effective health (+40 health/armor)

To me, it's only needed in Inferno but its good to start using it right away just so you're not losing on a bunch of other stats.

Inferno, I badly needed it ha.
