Tier 2 is Priest.
This is all written in my book, 'hearthstone tier list'.

1) Mage - Masterful control and burn in the same deck.

2) Warlock - The hero ability makes this class one of the best alone.

3) Paladin - Great mid-range control.

4) Rogue - Combos are really strong and also has good board management.

5) Druid - Great late game and strong hitting spells. Also has some of the best taunters.

6) Shaman - Poor man's Mage (considering you need just as many rares just to compete, if that)

7) Priest - Countered by 4 power minions and Mind Control costs 10 mana.

8) Warrior - Hardcountered by taunts alone. You can only run Garrosh into enemy minions for so long.

9) Hunter - Sub-par mid game, awful late game. Absolutely no reason to play Hunter atm aside from wanting to be different.

Iffy on 3 through 5, I've played some really strong shaman decks though.

1. Mage
2. Paladin, Druid, Priest
3. Shaman, Warlock, Rogue
4. Warrior, Hunter

What's interesting is that Warriors and Hunters actually do really well against upper tiers, but their strengths are differences, but minion swarm with enough taunts completely throw warriors off and Hunters are weak against board clear. However, Hunters have arguably the best early game in the game, and I find you NEED to use secrets effectively to be worth anything. Nothing screws a pally more than having a buffed minion return to his hand upon attacking anything and then costing 2 more. It's effectively removed from the game. Priests want to hit that turn 10 but Hunters can prevent them from getting board control since Hunters actually have great removal abilities. Even when turn 10 hits, Hunters rarely have a single monster to steal and that hurts them in particular. However Hunters have a horrible match-up against other swarmers who have the ability to keep up in the early game and have infinitely better late games. Warriors can actually do decently against mages by simply outdamaging them if the mages don't put out enough board control to stop warriors from killing them. Also if a warrior maintains board control and has mana to spare his effective health will make mages have a hard time. That being said, they still aren't the best at fighting mages, and that's why they are bottom tier.

As such deciding tiers in a CCG is a little bit more complicated than in say... League of Legends. Warriors do better against mages than say Warlock, but Warlocks will wreck warriors. Priests do great against mages, but aggro decks eat them alive.

I actually think Hunters are better than Warriors. The only thing they are missing is a couple reliable late game things and they'll shoot to near top-tier.
