With my TV turning the brightness all the way up actually makes it almost too dark to see, but just off of default I have no issues. See if changing it helps? Silly of me to assume you haven't yet I know, so sorry if you have, beyond that piece of advice I'm useless
Blood Dragon looks great on my 32' Visio 720p

Other than Skyrim and Halo: ODST, I have never had to ajust the in-game brightness using these tv settings.

This a plasma TV? In a bright room?

I agree, the dark is kind of a drag. It wouldn't be so bad if there was occasional daylight or something. The scanlines also get kind of annoying. Wish there was an option to turn those off.

I love this game but I do agree that it is way too dark. I turned up the brightness to max and that didn't really help. The "get a new TV" answer isn't really a valid response. Besides having an HDTV, (which I do have) the game shouldn't be a pain to adjust to actually see things in the game.

The darkness fits perfectly with the time of the game.
This is the correct answer.
Doesn't have a damn thing to do with TC having to "buy a better TV"... the game is just dark because that is the way the dev's wanted it. It matches the dark tone of the movies mentioned above and also gets the neon lights to stand out even more.
