Love having the choice whether to use lethal force or not

NightmareKindPosted 2/26/2010 6:05:21 PM	So I finally got Thief working and I'm really playing this game for the first time. I like how if you're a skilled enough swordsman, or a good shot with the bow, you can pretty much mow down the guards if you're careful. But killing is a messy business, and I think it's fun sometimes just to be the professional thief and avoid it, which the game certainly allows you to do with with stuff like the blackjack and different kinds of arrows, or just the shadows themselves. Yeah, the first time I played Deus Ex, I played it without killing anyone (the game will kill one person for you that you can't avoid). You can use non-lethal weapons throughout the whole game. The second time I played with regular guns and it was a very different game from the one where I spent all my time in crawl spaces.
