Sorry I know this has been asked, but I'm doing all of Raine's titles this playthrough and I guess instead of adding a fun event for Raine like they did for everyone else, you simply have to buy this one...and by "simply" I mean either raise millions of Gald to buy the damn chips or get lucky in the casino. I live in Vegas IRL and have play-tested slots before where I worked so I'm pretty aware of how fun or aggravating slots can be. That being said, is there one particular game people usually play to grind chips? I've never tried a casino game in Tales before. --- "I'd rather be hated for what I am than loved for what I'm not." - CM Punk, WWE.
There are only two: Blackjack and the slots. And you'd quickly be able to tell that Blackjack is....not very lucrative. So you essentially will have to get a decent starting amount of chips (1k-5k I'd say is a good start), and then just play on the 100-chip slots and build up as much as you can. There is no easy way around this, you'll either be pretty lucky and spend only maybe an hour or two or it can take several hours. --- Cheria is love. http://backloggery.com/kitekirby
Slots it is then, I guess. Thanks! As if I don't see enough of them at every gas station here the way it is, now I gotta do it in Tales >_<
EDIT: Speaking of lucrative Regal, for his personal trait does he simply have to be the on-screen avatar for the good vendor prices or does he have to be in the party or what? I swear sometimes I see no difference in the prices when I shop as him. --- "I'd rather be hated for what I am than loved for what I'm not." - CM Punk, WWE.
My advice is to buy some chips (500 or so), then gamble it using the 10-chip slot machine until you reach 10~20k. Feel free to save here.
After that, use the 100-chip slot machine and keep betting the maximum. Even if you win a couple thousands, keep playing. Eventually (apparently, you have to win at least 150k chips in one sitting), you'll reach Paradise Mode. Supposedly, this makes it far easier to get those 777's, netting you hundreds of thousands, potentially millions, of chips.
But from my experience, Paradise Mode only netted me about 350k in profits compared to the millions others have claimed to have earned. Regardless, that's plenty enough to earn you the costume.
Of course, you can choose BlackJack instead, but the dealer cheats so hard. --- No bra can withstand the might of Haku's heaving chesticles. -UriChan
Regal's Personal Ex-Skill just requires having the skill equipped (and in the party). It depends on what you're looking at, because it's only a 10% discount/sellback increase. --- Cheria is love. http://backloggery.com/kitekirby
Omg this is incredibly annoying. I buy 1000 chips and bet max twice each time before I reload. I have not won ONCE on the 100-chip machine. This is going to drive me crazy...and this is why people hack games. --- "I'd rather be hated for what I am than loved for what I'm not." - CM Punk, WWE.
