Legendary Cores / Steel Charge

#1tutububuPosted 2/20/2014 11:42:11 AM
Yesterday, PC Warframe had a hotfix that rewarded those who upgraded their Steel Charge aura R6+ with 2 Legendary Cores, which upgrade any mods to the max, with zero credits.

Our PS4 Warframe is about to get U12. Do you think we will get the same situation regarding the Steel Charge aura (i.e., going from max R5 to max R10 then back down to max R5)?

Early scalpers for the Steel Charge have been out in-force in the Trading chat...

nah, we aren't getting update 12, we are getting 12.5 or whatever it is called. i would be shocked if they released it at all for us.

dude-bro-sir, we are getting Update 12 per DERebecca, specifically, it includes updates 11.5.8 up to 12.0.5. Update 12.5 does not exist in Warframe, in PC or PS4.

Rebecca's response in the last line in the first post seems to say that it's already mitigated in PS4's upcoming 12.0.5. If that's true, that would mean that DE put a newer hotfix in an older update -- meaning that PS and PS4 are out of sync...

If we get it I'm going to have at least 5 level 6 steel charges ready.

They explicitly stated that we are not getting the old rank 10 Steel Charge. There's nothing more to it.

The PC's Legendary Core issues were fixed in Hotfix 12.2.1

https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/182504-hotfix-1221/

PS4 is about to get 12.0.5.
I'm curious if they are going to put select contents from 12.1.0 to 12.2.1 into 12.0.5.
So far, PC and PS4 Updates (with the same update number, obviously) have been having the same contents (am I assuming incorrectly here?).

i said:

you said:

"12.0.5. Update 12.5 does not exist in Warframe, in PC or PS4."

comprehension is part of reading too. "whatever it is called" means something and when you ignore that you ignore the true meaning of the sentence. in this case it is a qualification that denotes a lack of exact knowledge and is in no way presented as a precise fact. ;)

if you want to be anal retentive about it, you're messing with the wrong guy :P

Squigg said "whatever its called" meaning he was sure there was the number 12 and 5 in there somehwere.

And here's your link, I'm surprised you couldn't find it since you had two links to correct squigg on something he didn't even say.

notice how Rebecca says "It will include Updates 11.5.8 up to 12.0.5 and any critical fixes thereafter"

It says so right at the bottom of that FAQ you linked.

Is this change included in the next PS4 update?
Yes, this change is included.

https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/182094-steel-charge-update/

I don't see how there's anything to be misunderstood about that.

And it makes perfect sense why they would slip that specific hotfix in now, because if they didn't then they would have no choice but to reward people with legendary cores with the next update. Except this time everyone would know they would be getting legendary cores and would exploit that to its fullest extent. The only reason people on the PC got those cores because they were being compensated for a mistake. Doing the same on the PS4 after the fact would be pretty dumb.
