Are SM3DW's levels short and disappointing like SM3DL's?

Nintendo did a lot of damage control regarding SM3DL's 30-second levels:

I want to see real levels (2+ minutes long per mission should be a bare minimum), because Nintendo is capable of it and anything less reflects poor effort, no matter what kind of bulls*** they use to justify it. G1 and G2's levels were generally elaborate enough.

Also, does SM3DW require anything stupidly repetitive to inflate game length, like beating every stage with every character?

Beating every stage with one character grants you a special stamp for that character, but only stamps (so far). Multiplayer seems to count towards that, though.

I didn't find anything about 3d land disappointing unless trying to directly compare it to galaxy.
I liked 3d land far better than 64 *GASP HERESY!*

Wow, seven posts filled with damage control and without any answer ? That tells a lot.


Anyway, there are tons of vids on youtube of various levels from the game. The players do their best to make them seem longer by fooling around with the multiplayer aspect and the power ups, but you can definitely tell that the levels are extremely short. They seem longer than 3D land, but not by much.
