why does the gamepad simply mirror the tv?

Seems like a waste of battery not to mention I dont need the same exact audio coming through two sources.

I find it obnoxious how the system wants to force me to use the gamepad then on the biggest exclusive on the system it makes wasteful use of it, wth.

Rayman legends by default had menus and such on the gamepad making navigating and tasking outside of levels more intuitive, and during levels it simply had a basic screen saver/the option to have someone join in as murphy. Speaking of murphy was able to assist in much more enjoyable and intuitive ways.

Plus you can set the game at any time to tv off mode to make sure everything is on the gamepad.

Seems ubisoft is more efficient at nintendos own game...

People might walk in front of the TV or someone might change the channel.

I wish the option to turn off the gamepad screen wasn't put in a background menu.

You could just turn off the volume on the Gamepad :P It's not very difficult.

Then you miss out on the occasional fun uses of having audio in your hands such as when you select your character.

Again ubisoft simply used the gamepad better and I have no idea why nintendos flagship made such horrible use of their own new toy.

You complain about sounds coming out of the TV and GamePad but you don't want to turn it off for some 5 second sound bytes? What is your problem again?

And I'm pretty sure Rayman Legends does the exact same damn thing yet here you are praising it to high heaven.

No see thats the thing it doesnt do the same thing.

Had I played mario first fine...

But rayman is hands down smarter how it uses the game pad in every way.

It doesnt mimick audio or gameplay rather it gives you more options and its intuitive.

I dont see how people dont care that nintendo is not only not using their own hardware to our benefit but that they wastefully use it. Who wants the same damn thing running on two screens at once when you could have menus, world maps, or something remotely useful.
