This soundtrack is sounding better than the originals already. David Wise is a genius.

The Boss Battle music is easily better then anything from Returns in terms of Boss music.

What's to say really?

I've been waiting months to hear that minecart music in decent quality.
And then the guy in the video dies multiple times, stopping the music from ever going anywhere.

Sounds like a boss theme from a 3D Sonic game, minus the cheese.

I'm going to assume you never played a 3D Sonic game. The vast majority of the music is instrumental, and rarely do the lyrical themes play during gameplay in most of the games..

Actually, I played Sonic Adventure 2 as recently as last week, thank you very much. The boss themes are still cheesy without vocals.

SA2 is one game, and it happens to have probably the most in-game vocal themes of any of them. (Though Secret Rings and Sonic R are competition)

What exactly makes the non-lyrical themes cheesy? And how is TF's theme any better?

And again, I'm NOT talking about the vocal themes. You can't seriously tell me these aren't cheesy as hell:

And this TF boss theme throws in bits of the snowmad theme to offset things nicely.

I can? I don't see what's "cheesy" about them.
I will say that the TF theme is better than both of those, but cheesiness isn't a factor.
