Anyone have a clue how Extinction scoring works?

Yeah, I know there's some points awarded after each hive, but how you actually get those points is very vague. And the match summaries are funny, take this one I just got:

Xuande: Kills 183, Revives 4, Repairs 0, Downs 1, Score 54404

Teammate 1: Kills 152, Revives 0, Repairs 0, Downs 4 Score 57817

Teammate 2: Kills 168, Revives 2, Repairs 1, Downs 4, Score 55368

No complaints from my team really, but why do I deserve the lowest score? I never went rambo, and I guarded the drill as much as anybody else. And this isn't one bad example, this happens to me all the time - decent stats, lowest score in room.

If your allies have prestiged and are using relics, they'll naturally score more points than you despite anything you may or may not have done.

No idea what's going on aside from that.

Nah, I'm intentionally avoiding prestiged teammates until I prestige.

That's almost irritating to look at

Literally just had a round with 216 kills where the next highest kill count was 101 in a four player room.

I scored last. No relics involved. /sigh

Killing the bigger guys gives more points but still only counts as 1 kill. Seems obvious but it threw me for a twist as well at first when I saw the scoreboards. Also, knife vs gun vs pistol vs equipment gives different point values too I think.
