Can I go through chapter 5-7 without doing random battles and leveling?

My party is lvl75
I play the game on easy and so far every fight has been a breeze

I usually use two Rangers+Spell Fencer as sub class, Tiz and Ringabel, Edea as atm a Paladin and Agnes as a Spiritmaster+white magic.
All the jobs and sub jobs I use are mastered, except Edea's paladin but we'll get there.

My party is quite overpowered for now
but I just started chapter 5 and while I don't know the story details I know the game/setting repeats itself kind of like in the 2nd season of Harihu Suzumiya for a lack of a better comparison.
So, could I breeze through this by only following the story, fighting the bosses and keeping random battles turned off on easy? Or am I bound to hit a wall this way.

On easy, you can play through with random battles of after chapter 5. You will need to set up your party properly for certain optional fights, but that is the case even at lvl 99. I suggest doing the optional boss fights in chapter 6 on onwards, the story is enjoyable.

Should you ever want to level its better to go outside of florem and grind. The last job (obtained in chapter 6) gives an ability to one shot all random encounters 20 levels below you, which can help you grind as well.

Thanks so much for the info :)
I really appreciate it man

Also I absolutely adore the game, I don't think the repetitive chapters are going to be an issue for me, it's just such a wonderful experience for me.
I did all my optional battles and everything until now

Lvl 75 is definitely a bit overleveled for start of chapter 5, but not overleveled for end of chapter 5.

You can play with 0% encounter or turn off xp gains if you want, but battles in chapter 7+ become more set up/strategy dependent than level dependent (though lower levels will obviously make it harder and reduce the number of viable strategies). You may hit a wall at chapter 7ish but there're people who have beaten the game without leveling anyone, so there are always strategies you can turn to if you get stuck.

Honestly, I did the same thing (I was playing on Hard, but that really doesn't matter). Just turn your Random Encounter Rate to -100% in the Settings. I would still fight the Side Quest guys, but the only reason to fight the Random enemies at this point if for the Beastiary Entries (if you need them or care about them) and for money when you need it.

Also, when you get the Conjurer Job (you get it in Chapter 6), have 1 character Master it right away. It has an Equippable Skill called Obliterate that will instantly kill any monster on the field that is 20 Levels or more below your Level (well, below the level of the person that has the skill equipped). By using this, I was able to get my guys up to level 99 pretty quick by fighting in the top floor of the Vampire (DeRosso's) Castle. The only time the skill doesn't work is if the enemies get a Preemptive Strike on your (which can happen) or you get in a fight with enemies that are not 20 Levels below you.

The main reason to fight the Side Quest Enemies...
1. To get an Jobs you need (but the Conjurer in Chapter 6 should be your last if you have been keeping up with it).
2. To steal items from them. Starting in Chapter 6, you can steal mid-level items from every Side Quest enemy (sometimes they even have more than 1 item). Now, starting in Chapter 7, they have some of the best equipment in the game! Do not miss this chance! Make sure one of your characters can steal and that they have the Rob Blind ability so they steal 2 of the same item instead of one. And like I said before, most of the enemies have more than one item to steal, so keep stealing until you get the "He has nothing more to steal!" or something message (now in Chapter 8 you can kill them for fun, but you can no longer steal the good items as they now have Ethers and drop Elixirs).
3. For the Database entries (if you care about them at all like I did).

Good luck. And easy difficulty or not, I think you will need to adjust your character's jobs if you want to take on the True Final Boss.

Feel free to ask for anything else you might need help with :).

Thanks guys
I wasn't planning on being stuck at lvl75, I was looking forward to mastering more jobs and leveing up so it's all good.
I already have a bunch of jobs mastered :) it's just that I wasn't sure about the repetitive chapters is all.

Y'all really gave me some good info there so I think I'm good to go
really appreciate the tips and help
