So I def want to see a vampire, dark knight, and Ninja on my final team

What subjobs should I give them and what job/subjob should I give to my last teammate to make the most balanced team? I know that I want someone to have the merchant subjob, but I don't know who yet

Dark Knight/Merchant
Vampire/Spiritmaster
Ninja/Conjurer
Pirate/Swordmaster

This is what I had, worked really well

Looking at that setup, I'm guessing the healer is the Vampire with White Wind, with perhaps the Staff special and switching out staves for Raise and Esuna as needed.

Conjurer's moves are all self buffs, so probably to max out the Ninja's crit chance, phys attack, and speed/evasion buffs very fast.

What's the point in playing if you're running someone else's build?

Looks good but what did you use for a BP battery ??? Merchant on the DK ??? Spirit Master on the Vamp ???

I normally set up with a support character, a BP battery and x2 offensive characters.

My support character is generally a mixture of Spirit Master (Adaptation/Enigma/Stillness in a pinch etc), Salve Maker (fav support class, buffs and debuffs, revive, Giant's Draft etc) and Time Mage (group cast Reraise, buff speed, Meteor) depending on the apponent and strategy used.

Offensive are generally DK (Rage for Single enemies, Dark Nebular for the Gauntlet) or dual-wielding Ninja although I have ended up settling for x2 DK for sheer power. I run 1 DK/Merchant (Low Leverage/Pay to play for Crit buff) and one DK/Vamp (Debuff enemies while buffing = pure awesomeness)

BP batters is a Freelancer/Performer for My Hero + x3 Mimic.

I'm saying to come up with your own party... it's more fun that way. Flipping through the various jobs and their abilities should give you a grasp of what each thing can do and then leave it up to your imagination to make a team instead of relying on things we give you.

My uber party of doom is as follows if you don't feel like being creative/enjoying the game.

Spiritmaster/Performer
Arcanist/Time Mage for multitarget bosses/Time Mage/Swordmaster for single target bosses
Salve-Maker/Merchant
Dark Knight/Valkyrie for multitarget bosses/Monk/Dark Knight for single target bosses

The weakest link of that team is the mage of course so you can give them the boot in exchange for whatever Vampire/Ninja shenanigans you like but... I don't really see the point.

Well, if that Vampire/Spiritmaster is the build I think it is, then both it and the DK/Merchant are the BP batteries. Vampire spams White Wind until it gets Rejuvenation (which can increase everybody's BP by 2), then spams White Wind again to build up Special charges.

And the Merchant can toss BP Drinks to whoever needs it.

Or maybe he doesn't have a BP battery.

Also, correct me if I'm wrong alt, but isn't Energy Burst stronger than Crescent Moon for multi-target purposes? Or is there another reason to use Valkyrie?
