Not sure if this is answered anywhere but...

If i prevent my squirtle from evolving until lv. 49 and then immediatly evolve War into Blast, will it have the same stats as if i would have evolved both at first oppertunity?

Assuming that DVs and Stat Exp. are the same, yes. They will have the same stats.

The main advantage holding back from evolution has, is that the moves are learned sooner. Aside from that, there's no difference at all.

Naturally, the sole exception to this is the Stone evolvers, all of which only learn 1 move on their final form.

Naturally, the sole exception to that is Eevee, who learns different moves depending on what you evolve it to.

lets us not forget the original 4 that evolved via trade as they learn the same moves at the same levels as thier respective prior stage

Wow, this is pretty funny because I was just about to answer the same question about my Squirtle... It's level 67 and I was afraid it would be hold off from the stats if I kept holding off on the evolution.
