That's it, I quit. After watching plenty of recorded games and building up a somewhat decent starting strategy, even the noobiest of noobs can still beat me. --- Give a man a fire, you keep him warm for a night. Set a man on fire, and you keep him warm for the rest of his life.

lol don't quit just yet. Watch your own recorded games and see why you lost. See when your opponent got the upper hand on you. See how you balanced your resource gathering. Look for every mistake you made and think about how you can fix it. See how well you stuck to the plan and any problems you had while doing so. Evaluate all this and think about how you have to change your strategy to become better. Just making up a strategy won't help nor will following someone else's. You've got to stick to your own playing style, make up your own plan and then refine it as you see fit :). Hope this helped.
It did help, in fact I was actually considering doing it before reading (evaluating my own strategy to see why I lost) but it's hard to get motivated after being shown up so many times :P Thanks for the advice, i'll see how I feel once I get over these losses. --- Give a man a fire, you keep him warm for a night.
