I started playing with a new character today and there's still people playing. If I were you I'd just wait and get Guild Wars 2 (or pre-purchase so you can start playing it on the 25th) which comes out on the 28th. As far as I know everyone will be playing Guild Wars 2 once it launches.

I was playing GW when this topic was created last night. :)
