Considering buying this game to play during the summer, have a few questions.

Are all the obtainable pokemon listed seen here.. http://www.serebii.net/colosseum/pokemon.shtml transferable to either R/S/E or LG/FR?

Mostly interested in the legendary dogs, as well as a few others.

Alos, is it pretty hard to still find a copy of the jirachi bonus disc?

The Pokémon in this game can be traded like any other.

As far as the bonus disc, it depends on where you look. I've seen it even in small video game retailers, and there should be plenty online.

And Ho-Oh and all the legendary dogs can be transferred?

I said traded, not transferred. And yes, they act like normal Pokémon in this game and XD.

Not sure about stores that would sell the bonus disc, as that would depend on where you live and such. As for online, eBay has a decent number of them, but the prices range quite a bit. It seems to cost about as much as the game does nowadays. Roughly.

I can't remember what these used to cost, but I think a friend once told me he saw a lot go for a few hundred, if not a thousand, dollars one time. :u

Well, I can trade between this game and the GBA games, to get the dogs and Ho-oh, right?

Yes, as long as you have one of these cables you're good to go on that.

If you end up liking this game, be sure to pick up the sequel: Pokemon XD Gale of Darkness. There are some noteworthy improvements made in the game's mechanics compared to Colosseum. Don't get me wrong, I thought Colosseum was great; Gale of Darkness simply polished it a little further and made for a good sequel.

There's one minor detail that haven't been mentioned yet. With the exception of the Espeon and Umbreon you start with, the Plusle you're given as a gift, and the Ho-Oh, all the other pokemon you catch in this game are shadow pokemon. An unpurified shadow pokemon can't be traded because the GBA games lack the proper coding to handle the shadow status or the shadow moves. Once a shadow pokemon is fully purified, it's treated just like any normal pokemon of its species and can be traded to the GBA games (and subsequently transferred to the 4th/5th gen DS games if desired).
