Having problems with F-C, namely the wave of Surge right before the 26th Century.
I'm Score Attacking the stage to unlock the ships. I've gotten the furthest with the Princedom and Leo. I'm currently using the Neoptolemos.
My strategy so far has been to start in the top left corner, inch down while firing, inch forward, Dose, back to the top left corner, and repeat.
What strategy, cannon, and bits have you used?
If you're talking about that undulating wave of drones that covers the entire screen, there's a safe spot. Position your ship about two-fifths of the way up from the bottom, pressed against the left side and with your Force attached to the front, and all enemy fire will either pass just behind you or impact harmlessly against the Force.
I'd like to tell you exactly how far up your ship needs to be, but it's been a while since I played the game, and I don't have it on-hand. Oh well. Good luck!
I've won most consistently with the Strike Bomber. The standard Force isn't as amazing as the newer ones, but the ridiculously overpowered wave cannon lets you destroy the columns of four cannons and large capital ships with ease. The Leo and Happy Days did pretty well too, and though I haven't tried F-C after unlocking it, the Ragnarok II should be a good fit as well.
Thanks for the heads up.
I was finally able to finish it with the Songoku.
All that's left is the Hyllos, the Bydo ships, and the last 3.
The Leo DX absolutely crushes this stage. It's the only ship I could beat it with.
