Depends on which release you play. (Almost always needs to be stated when asking about any Squaresoft or Square Enix game, BTW.)

"Sanctuary" is the theme played over the opening FMV in the North American and some other releases. The original Japanese release featured "Passion", however, also a Utada Hikaru song.

Click FAQs, above, and look for Penultima_92's Song Lyrics guide (3K) for the "Passion" lyrics, including an English translation. The DarkHelmet543/The Ouroborous ("i" 811K) and sora250 ("m" 107K) walkthroughs include the "Sanctuary" lyrics.

Falcon, a period NEVER goes inside of a parenthesized statement.
But other than that, you were correct... :)

Uhh... periods can go inside parentheses if it compliments the sentence before it (such as this.)

Examine the material enclosed by parentheses. Is it an entire sentence? If so, place the period inside the closing parenthesis. A sentence begins and ends inside the parentheses. Therefore, the period for that sentence also needs to go inside the closing parenthesis.

If the parenthetical material is part of another sentence, place the period outside the closing parenthesis. The parenthetical material is part of the preceding sentence. Therefore, the final period for that sentence should go outside the closing parenthesis.

Sure it can. The entire sentence was parenthetical, an aside, and independent of the preceding sentence. (Psst, the correct criticism would've recommended an m-dash.) Wanna see my parchments? ;j

Rent a copy of Finding Forrester if you want a visual example of how to argue against a "rule."

BTW, pull the linewrap from your device, eh? Such was commonplace ages ago, when displays went from displaying 40-character line lengths to 80. Generally considered ill-mannered back then.

Yes, I am old. :j

Sorry, but if the sentence doesn't open with a parentheses, it won't end with such a mark either. Parentheses, brackets, and braces are nested delimiters, and that example breaks the nesting.

Strange tangent, but what the hey.

The internet is a weird place man.

Back on topic, I always thought Sanctuary was just the English version of Passion. Is it more complex than that?
