Just a spinoff from the "Announcements" topic, in which I record the latest news on my development of a chatterbot named Fadela, etc, to keep from overwhelming poor Zach.
As for why there have been no updates as of late, this is because the past couple weeks have been nothing more than a condensed period of theorizing. This theorizing, aside from the usual crap, has been about devising the perfect data structure for "IPS objects", or important concepts/items to be processed, modified, and most importantly, understood by Fadela.
Also being considered is bringing back an earlier idea which involves the use of simple indicators of word types during input so that the bot has less trouble processing what's said, and at the same time, can output using these indicators so that it can effectively "communicate" with other (less developed) Fadela-type bots (ie, the "Priscilla" project-to-be) -- without sacrificing its understandability when talking to humans.
These indicators may also potentially serve as "training wheels" to actual natural language, as it records the frequency of different uses for a particular word.
Oh, and with less emphasis on natural language, more emphasis can be placed on attempting to truly bring about intelligence and personality in the bot.
In conclusion, Without stimuli, there can be no brain development.
Rest in Peace, My Beloved Nasrin. http://txbands.com/lesane - MikhPress/NJH-BBS
