I would go with 1600x900.
It is pretty good.
I can back this, even though it's the same ratio as 1080p. 1280 x 1024 isn't at all bad either if you want a high-res 4:3, but I've never actually run high-end games on one.
Though I don't own one, I do use machines with 1680 x 1050's and I've grown fond of that too. Whenever I use 1080p, it always come off as a bit too big for me. And I'm not really helping so much as saying that none of your options are horrid. --- My reaction to COD Black Ops II... Call of Duty World At Wat?
The only reason I am hesitant to go big is cause like I previously said, at 1440x900 I can get away w/ higher settings w/ current specs for games like BC2 / Metro 2033. Could any of you suggest a monitor w/ supported native res you would suggest? I can only seem to find the 1920x1080's now a days, unless that would be OK w/ my rig.. idk. --- AMD Phenom II X2 565 Dual Core 3.4 Black Edition | Corsair Vengeance 8GB DDR3 | ATI Radeon HD5770 1GB | Msi 760GM-P23(FX) AM3+| Antec 300 Mini Tower | 500GB HDD
