A very game lacking ability of a laptop runs it decently at low settings. A much more capable desktop should be able to out perform it. Wouldn't you think?


look i'm not saying you're wrong. i agree something probably wrong, you gotta trust me though that he does have that actual computer.

what could he do? defrag maybe?

Did you make sure he completely cleaned out his old graphic drivers and updated to the newest ones from nVidia?

ill have him do that, and defrag, and try again

Well, I don't see his HDD being fragmented the cause of the problem. But drivers might cause issues.

I've got an 8600GT with 300W PS and 3.5GB DDR2 ram with AMD processor X2 5500 andI can run this 60+ FPS most of the time with a 1280*720 res and everything on low.

Just get him to format his hdd and reinstall windows and get new drivers.

Um... I'm not going to touch the possibility of the computer running it, but I'm currently using a GTS 250 [1] and my computer runs fine. It's a custom self-built one, though.

[1] When I built this computer, it was intended to SLI a pair of 250s, back when they were a mid-range card. For budget reasons, I decided to buy the second one later. Unfortunately, that never happened....
