The wired 360 controller is just plug & play.

Not sure about the wireless controller.

Wired or wireless?

With my wired one I just plugged it in and Windows found and installed the drivers for it.

The wired one should find the drivers for you automatically from Windows Update.

The wireless one will require the wireless receiver piece, and no, the Play & Charge kit will NOT work.

false.

Plug and play is all it is. No need for Windows Update to find the driver for you or any shenanigans like that.

False. Windows does need a driver to use it. It may have it "built in" to Windows by this point, I'm not sure, but there is still a driver involved and if your PC does not have it then you'll need to download it the first time you use it.

lol. "I'm not sure". Damn right you aren't.

The drivers come with the controller the same way drivers for a usb comes within the usb stick. Plug and use. No need for windows to search for the drivers online or anything like that.

Next time, if you're going to try and be smart, at least get your facts straight.
