Seagate Momentus XT and other hybrid drives

Are they worth it? How are they compared to a traditional HDD?

Is it the best solution for single-bay laptops since SSDs are still too small and expensive?

I would say so. The 750 GB Momentus XT isn't too far off from what a standard 750GB 7200 rpm drive costs when you take into account the performance gains.
