Borderlands.

Looks like such a sick game, I love the art style. I know nothing of the game but so far from what I am seeing I'm liking. For those that are veterans, how well are the "RPG" elements mixed in w/ the FPS ones? & should I purchase it off Steam for $19.99 now or possibly wait for any future sales or GOTY edition sales? (etc).

Kinda impatient & just want to purchase it.
I don't think it takes much to run the game as well so I'm sure I can run it easily right?

Any opinions about the game?

Borderlands goes on sale like once every 1.5 months I've noticed

Just wait for the summer sale on Steam and you'll be able to pick it up for like $7.50. Or wait for Amazon to do another random sale. I think it was just on sale again a week ago

As far as the game goes, I love it. My best friend and I started playing it on co-op and had a blast. The only reason we haven't finished it was because there was an onslaught of games that we started but didn't finish, such as Gears of War 1-3, leveling up in DCUO, Dead Island, etc

game is one of my favorite this gen. it's basically shoot and loot. don't expect heavy influence from the rpg elements. it's not a pretty port job though. it's often on sale for $7.50 (including all dlc) so wait for that. the sequel (at least as far as being a pc game) already looks much better. grab it on sale and blaze through it and look into the sequel due out in September.

It's great but I'd wait for the summer sale, 99.99% chance it goes on sale.

One of my favorite games, both solo and multi-player. It's basically Diablo with guns. The DLC is decent as well. GOTY is the way to go and it will probably be on sale for $7.50 like it usually is during all the sale in about a month. It's easy as hell to run.

No. Borderlands is a great game on PC, even with a clunky menu.

no. I'm saying it is a clear console port and several things could have been implemented better. it's still the same game as the console version. you can get it cheaper and play in actual hd resolutions with some more advanced settings.

There's nothing functionally wrong with it, it just feels like a port (kinda bad FOV and the menus could use some work).
