Mac vs. PC

#71Mr kittyPosted 6/1/2012 9:27:19 PM
You can build a worstation PC. Although mac come a little bit more expensive along the way.

PC have much better build quality if you spend the same amount of money.

Xeon processor & ECC memory is expensive.

Although if you buy the low end Mac, you get ripped off.

?

Less than five minutes of looking and most of that was because I stopped to read an article along the way. Sure was painful.

Protip: unless you're familiar with the "QH270-IPSMS" (I'm sure everybody just has that model number in their head ^_^), it will take much more time than that.

Most people have heard of "Catleap" or "Korean monitors," and nothing more. It will take at least 5 minutes from there just to get the names of all the models (I've counted at least 5 variations), and then you would want to examine each one.

And last I checked, $450 is greater than $370.

And yet still a ways cheaper than the low end of 800 dollars quoted earlier by one of your fellow apple fans. Also, I didn't have that model number in my head, I googled catleap with osd, quickly scanned the results given and the answer I wanted was not only in the top five results, but it was also the first link I clicked on. This really isn't nearly as difficult, painful, annoying, or whatever other term you decide to come up with as you people are trying to make it to be. I have no prior knowledge of Korean monitors and even I can do this in a snap. I am far from being any sort of techno wizard or genius individual. I am just your average citizen apart from the fact that I am as smart as I can be with my money. If people are prone to buy things without doing the proper research they have no one to blame but themselves. A fool and his money are soon parted.

First hit of "yamakasi catleap with osd" leads me to that overclock.net monitor club, which shows nothing useful about which models have OSD.

Am I supposed to be searching for "achieva shimian with osd"?

different search terms than my original:

https://www.google.com/search?q=korean+monitors+with+osd&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a

Maybe you just suck at googling. The same result I used before is in the top five once again.

Wow, you're unbelievably whiny today. Still sperging about me having an opinion on what I find annoying. And now you're trying to derail this from "build an equivalent computer to that iMac" to "lolz you wasting so much money."

Mac vs. PC

Hmm lets see.

Looking at a PC makes my girlfriend dry and crusty
Looking at my iMac 27 makes her wet and willing

That's just from looking at it. Mac = swag
It's that easy. Only nerds care about the specs. It's an overpriced piece of crap hardware but it just looks so good you want to remove the pizza boxes in the corner because they don't fit with the Mac.
