I'm a complete noob to OSX, and my girlfriend is looking to free up some space on her MBA. The individual iLife apps are on her Apple ID purchase history - does that mean she can uninstall them and re-download/install them later for free? I haven't been able to find much through searching the subject. I'd ask on the Mac board, but I'm looking for a quicker answer >.>

Right, because there were so many good PC alternatives at the time the 2011 MBA came out. /sarcasm

Because a gaming laptop is just as portable as an ultrabook.

Please, just stop replying with nonsense. I'm not here to listen to your personal preferences or needs about laptops.

Comparing a gaming notebook to a MacBook Air? Never change, PC board.

Anyway, I imagine you could simply send the .app files to the trash without issue like any other app.

Whenever I set up a new Mac, I always just do a clean install of the OS, so there's no iLife apps or anything else and then install the iLife apps I actually use (which is only GarageBand, actually). If she's been using the computer for a while, you probably don't want to do that.

Thanks, doubt she'll ever need them so just told her to delete them.
